  • The state of Gujarat has a total of 17 airports of which 09 are under operational jurisdiction of the Airports Authority of India (AAI), 3 with I.A.F. of which 2 have Civil Terminal, 2 Airports are private and 2 Airport are at Union Territory of Daman and Diu which do not form part of Gujarat but are used frequently by People of Gujarat. There are two private Airports. These Airports are belonging to state Govt.
  • Out of the 09 AAI Airports Ahmedabad is an international airport. The other Airports are Vadodara, Surat, Jamnagar, Rajkot, Bhavnagar, Porbandar, Bhuj, Keshod, Kandla and Deesa which are domestic airports. Among these, Keshod and Deesa airports have no scheduled flight
  • We have three air strips under the State Government jurisdiction
    • Mehsana
    • Amreli
    • Mandvi
  • Ahmedabad is an international airport, Presently air India, Indian Airlines, Jet Airways jet Life, Deccan, Spice Jet Airlines are providing scheduled air services. Ahmedabad has direct international connection to the cities like Sharjah, kuwait, doha, dubai, singapore and London. It is also connected to Europe and USA, Through an aircraft change at Delhi and Mumbai and also direct flights to metropolitan cities.
  • There are lots of flight connecting Ahmedabad to Domestic and International destination.
  • Ahmedabad is connected directly to domestics cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, Pune, Jaipur, Indore and Kolkatta.
  • The state Govt. intends to encourage private sector participation for development of aviation Infrastructure at the existing state airport/airstrips.It also plans for development of green field Airport for scheduled and non-scheduled aircraft operation.
